Revenue, Housing and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday exhorted the journalists to give news without fear or favour. He was inaugurating the newly constructed Press Club under the leadership of Shyamala Gopalan Foundation Chairman Suresh Reddy, along with Kothangaudem MLA Koonanneni Sambashiva rao on Monday. The land for the Press Club was allotted by Genco at Paloncha in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Speaking on the occasion, he said that cases were filed against journalists who reported against those in power when the BRS was in power. He told the journalists that they can write news freely and without any fear. When YS Rajasekhara Reddy was chief minister, as many 1,050 journalists were given house titles on 72 acres of land in Hyderabad, but the previous government did not distribute land to journalists despite court orders. He assured journalists of all help.
