Ponguleti warns land grabbers

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy warned that if anyone grabs government land it would not be handed over and that the government would continue to do its job.
He said that the Praja Palana programme is running smoothly from December 28 and will continue till January 6. On Tuesday, the Minister inspected the construction work on the Khammam Rural Mandal Maddulapalli Market Yard.
Speaking on the occasion, Ponguleti made it clear that the only agenda of the Congress government is to support the poor. He said that the government will do what the people want. He said that no matter how many difficulties the government faced, the Congress government would overcome them and fulfil promises given to the people.
He said that there were allegations that some people had earned crores by moving earthen mounds in the name of constructing the Maddulapalli Market Yard and that there is no question of letting go of those who engage in illegal acts.
He said that if land worth crores was grabbed in Khammam it would be seized from them and given to the poor.
