In response to Geetanjali Devi’s tragic death due to online trolling, APFDC Chairman Posani Krishna Murali blasted the TDP and Jana Sena are responsible for the death. Posani pointed out the rise of malicious practices in Andhra Pradesh politics particularly by Chandrababu Naidu after losing the 2019 elections. He recalled that TDP had trolled him and his wife by sending vulgar messages to the mobile phones.
“After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu brought in vulgar practices. In 2019, he publicly abused CM Jagan Mohan Reddy after losing the polls. The abuse was bizarre, even not what dangerous criminals face. His son also verbally attacked Jagan. Jagan didn’t react. Then they could not digest the fact that how is Jagan unaffected.
They then turned to unparliamentary insults. Chandrababu Naidu is wicked, and his son Lokesh is an evil demon. The media downplayed the incident. Is it okay to vehemently abuse someone? Can I also say such things about Chandrababu and Lokesh? “he said.
Posani then shifted focus to Chandrababu’s habit of personally attacking others, including the Prime Minister. He highlighted a specific instance where Chandrababu targeted Narendra Modi questioning his bachelorhood, which was condemned by Posani.
“Chandrababu can scold someone, but no one can speak a word against him. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is an honest man and a hero. He singled out a politician as corrupt, who was the corrupt leader? It was no one but our Komma leader Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. Our PM even referred to Babu as “Polavaram ATM” while he talked about corruption in the country. In his reply, Babu attacked Modi personally. Just like he attacked and killed Geetanjali Devi, he spoke vulgarly about Narendra Modi’s bachelorhood and not having a son. What is the relation between being corrupt and having a son?” he added.
Geetanjali Devi committed suicide as she was subjected to relentless trolling and cyberbullying. Just because she expressed gratitude to AP CM Jagan for providing her family with a house, TDP and Jana Sena’s social mafia vented out their anger. A mother of two, Geetanjali couldn’t bear the mental anguish and decided to end her life.
