Recently, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with prominent figures from the Telugu film industry, led by Dil Raju, to discuss the new Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC).
During the meeting, the Chief Minister requested the industry’s support, particularly from actors, in promoting a drug-free Telangana state. He emphasised that Telugu actors have a massive fan following and that their influence can inspire fans to follow their advice. To this end, he asked the actors to create awareness videos about the dangers of drugs.
Prabhas, a top actor, was the first to respond to the Chief Minister’s call. He released a video urging the youth to avoid drugs, saying, “There’s plenty of entertainment in life, and with loved ones surrounding us, we don’t need drugs.” In his signature style, he added, “Darlings! Do we need drugs? Say no to drugs!” Prabhas also shared a vital message, informing viewers that those struggling with drug addiction can call a toll-free number for support from the Telangana government, which will provide complete care until they recover.
It appears that other actors are following Prabhas’ lead and may release similar videos to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs, with the message “Say no to drugs.”
