Prabhas’ The Raja Saab set for December release

Must read

It’s been nearly a year since Kalki 2898 AD hit the screens, and Prabhas’ fans are now eagerly waiting for his next big release — The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, the film has been in the making for several years but has yet to complete its shoot.

A few days ago, the makers announced that The Raja Saab will release on December 5, 2025. While there is still time for the release, the teaser is set to drop in just three days, on June 16, heightening anticipation.

All eyes are now on The Raja Saab, as it is considered a key film in both Prabhas’ career and the producer’s fortunes. There have been several reports suggesting that body doubles were used for many of Prabhas’ scenes. Moreover, the producer, who has faced multiple box-office failures, is said to be financially strained and is pinning all hopes on the success of this film. With a massive budget, the film is already drawing attention, and the upcoming teaser is expected to offer a glimpse into how the project has shaped up.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist, for which he was reportedly paid a hefty sum. Female leads Malavika Mohanan, Niddhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar round out the cast.

According to a source, Prabhas was reportedly unhappy with some scenes, particularly those involving Riddhi Kumar, and has asked the director to rework them. Additionally, the film’s runtime is said to be a concern for the makers. Touted as a horror comedy, the film has music composed by Thaman.

Fans’ pressure has reportedly played a significant role in the makers announcing both the teaser release and the final release date.
