Praja Vani Land-related complaints remain unresolved

Must read

It’s really distressing when problems get complicated instead of being solved, especially land-related cases. A majority of people who attended the Praja Vani programme raised issues of not being given proper receipts or messages by the officials after registering land-related issues. Over 494 people have submitted their applications at Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Praja Bhavan on Friday.
Prakash (name changed) of Kamareddy district said, “Earlier, I have registered my land-related case at Praja Vani. But when I went to the Praja Vani again with regards to updates on the land case, the officials are asking for messages or receipts. They haven’t given or sent any reciepts or messages to me. But the officials stated that they won’t proceed my case unless there is a reciept or message.  There is no proof for me as I registered my case here. We demand the government to offer proper reciept or messages to the people, especially those who lack basic facilities like cell phones.”
Another person from Suryapet said, “I have previously registered my land enroachment case here. But I haven’t received any message or receipt from the officials. When I went to the Praja Vani, the officials stated that without any receipt or message, they can’t process the case. It’s really disheartening for me.”
Some of the people lost their hope as their cases were not solved for months unlike first-timers who registered their case at Praja Vani to try their luck of getting their problems solved.
Dr Peddem Krishna from Suryapet submitted an application on land enroachment issue. He said, “I have suffered a lot during the regime of the BRS government, as the officials didn’t try to solve my land issue. But now, I have some hope that the Congress government would solve my issue soon.”
Another person from Kondapet said, “I have come to Praja Vani for getting my land enroachment case solved. In our village, some higher officials have seized my land which is in my father’s name. I have come here with hope that the officials will look into the matter and solve the issue as earliest as possible.”
