Manchu Vishnu’s most anticipated film, Kannappa, is scheduled to release on April 25, 2025. Initially, the movie was launched with Nupur Sanon, the younger sister of popular actress Kriti Sanon, as the female lead. However, due to certain reasons, Nupur opted out of the project and the makers subsequently cast Preity Mukundhan in her place. The shooting has been completed, and the film is currently in post-production.
Manchu Vishnu plays the title role of Kannappa, while his father, senior actor Mohan Babu, plays an important role. Several stars, including Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Lal, Sarath Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal, make cameo appearances in the film. Mukesh Kumar Singh directs the movie, which was primarily shot in New Zealand.
In this mythological film, Preity Mukundhan portrays Nemali, a character embodying grace, beauty, bold courage, extraordinary capacity for love and unwavering devotion. As the heart and soul of Kannappa, Nemali plays a pivotal role in the story.
