Principal Secretaries assume office

Two higher officials assumed office in two separate programmes at the Secretariat in Velagapudi in Amaravati on Wednesday. Mukesh Kumar Meena officially took charge as the Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD) of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, in the first building of the State Secretariat.
His appointment comes in the light of recent transfers of several senior IAS officers.
In addition to his new responsibilities at the GAD, Meena will continue to hold his previous role as the Principal Secretary of the Excise Department. On the occasion of his assuming office, various GAD officials, along with numerous Secretariat staff and employees, gathered to extend their congratulations and well wishes to Meena.
Meanwhile, S. Suresh Kumar took charge as the Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department in the second building of the Secretariat. He was transferred from his previous role as the Principal Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department.
Upon assuming his duties, Suresh Kumar was greeted with best wishes from senior officials of the Urban Development Department, Secretariat staff, and employees.
