Recognising the significance of NIMS in providing medicare, Health Minister Harish Rao directed officials to speed up the construction of NIMS’ new building. The government aims to improve medical facilities at NIMS by speeding up the project.
Acknowledging the importance of new medical colleges, Harish said special attention should be given to establishing them and their functioning. Steps should be taken to ensure the starting of classes this year so that it can contribute to the development of healthcare infrastructure in Telangana, he said.
Complying with HC directives, Harish issued an order to medical officers regarding the training of PMP and RMP.
A committee has been set up to prepare a comprehensive report on their training requirements, and they are expected to submit their report within a week.
This initiative aims to ensure quality healthcare services by well-trained professionals, he said.
In an effort to improve healthcare accessibility, Harish ordered officials to promptly deploy the recently procured vehicles.
This includes 228 Ammaodi vehicles, 204 108 ambulances and 34 hearses which will be put into service from August 1.
These vehicles will play a crucial role in bringing healthcare to remote areas and in providing essential medical aid to those in need.
Harish concluded his speech by emphasising the government’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare services in Telangana.
The directives issued reflect the government’s dedication to public welfare, he said.
Chief Minister KCR has been taking steps to strengthen the health department by providing the required funds.
It is essential for everyone to work diligently and provide medical services to the people, Harish said.
He said that concerned authorities should regularly review all medical programmes under the National Health Mission (NHM).
They are encouraged to make field visits at least two days a week and check out services provided to the people.
Harish emphasised that there should not be any shortcomings in the services offered to the urban poor through Basti Dawakhanas.
Telangana Diagnostic has introduced 134 types of medical tests and people should use these services, he said.
