The Telangana government’s newly formulated Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) policy will prioritize women, Backward Classes and Dalit entrepreneurs, said IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
Speaking at a meeting of District Industries Centre General Managers held at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute on Tuesday, Sridhar outlined the direction for implementing the new policy.
During the meeting, he unveiled the MSME policy handbook, which was recently launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The handbook contains detailed information on MSME schemes, government incentives, eligibility criteria for loans, and the application process.

He emphasized that officials from both the central and state MSME departments must work in coordination to achieve growth in industrial establishments.

Sridhar also called for the state-wide implementation of the PM Vishwakarma scheme, which benefits backward communities. He noted that the Industries Department plays a crucial role in ensuring that Telangana’s economy grows into a trillion-dollar economy in the next decade.

He called for focused efforts on cluster development and the optimal utilization of Central funds for the advancement of MSMEs. He highlighted the importance of maximising the impact of MSME schemes supported by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).

Senior officials from both Central and state governments gave presentations on various schemes, marketing strategies and training programs available for MSMEs.
