Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has emphasised that the State government is committed to modernising and developing temples while ensuring enhanced facilities for devotees. He stated that these efforts aim to uphold the sanctity of temples while making them more accessible and welcoming for devotees across the state.
On Saturday, Minister Ramanarayana Reddy visited Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada. He was warmly received by Kanaka Durga Temple in-charge Executive Officer Ramachandra Mohan and temple priests, who facilitated his darshan of Goddess Durga Devi.
Speaking to the media later, the Minister directed officials to take necessary measures to improve the overall experience for visitors, including steps to ensure the comfort and safety of devotees. He also stressed the importance of a devotee-friendly approach, instructing security personnel to be courteous and respectful towards visitors.
Minister Reddy later held discussions with officials regarding the development of the Durga Temple and instructed them to provide additional facilities for devotees. During the visit, he interacted with devotees waiting in the queue to inquire about their experiences with the available facilities.
