Private schools banned from selling uniforms to students

District Education Officer R Rohini has passed an order stating that all the schools, especially private and unaided schools, in Hyderabad district not to sell uniforms, belts and shoes on the school premises on Thursday. This move aims to curb potential commercial activities within school compounds and ensure focus on educational priorities.
All the Deputy Educational Officers and Deputy Inspector of Schools of Hyderabad District were directed to ensure that private school management i.e. State/CBSE / ICSE running in Hyderabad district should not sell uniforms, shoes and belts on the school premises. As per the court orders, the sale of books/note books/stationery at the school counter, if any, should be on a non-commercial, no-profit-no-loss basis.
Also, all the Deputy Educational Officers were directed to constitute mandal-level committees to monitor the private schools regularly and ensure that private school management i.e. State/CBSE/ICSE running in Hyderabad district do not sell uniforms, shoes and belts on the school premises. These committees will help ensure compliance with the regulations and uphold the quality of education provided in these institutions.
Moreover, if any school management violates the guidelines, strict and appropriate action will be taken against them. The officials concerned were directed to promptly implement the orders and furnish compliance reports without delay.
