Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma has made it clear that the Central government’s decision to privatise the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is a policy decision.
The Minister participated in Mrityunjaya Homam and special pooja at the famous Someswara Swamy temple in Bhimavaram on Sunday.
Later talking to the media, the Union Minister said that the people of Andhra Pradesh have a sentiment with the Steel plant and they firmly wish that the VSP must be a public sector unit. The Union Minister assured of talking to the Finance Minister and top-level officials in the Central government to ensure that the VSP should remain a public sector unit forever.
