TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki said that AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is coming to attend the Kollapur public meeting being held on July 30 in which several leaders from the BRS and the BJP including former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao would be joining the Congress.
Alleging that the KCR government did injustice to SCs, STs, and minorities in the last nine years, Madhu Yashki said that a SCs, STs, and minorities’ Garjana meet will be held on August 15 and AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge will attend it.
He said that they will appoint a sub-committee within two days to discuss what to do for SCs, STs and minorities if the Congress comes to power.
Speaking to the media along with PAC Convener Shabbir Ali, Madhu Yashki said that the TPCC Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting lasted around three hours.Madhu said that the PAC meeting felt that the BRS government’s pension enhancement is a victory of the Congress’s Cheyutha Scheme (in which the Congress promised to give Rs 4,000 to the handicapped after coming to power).
Madhu said the PAC also decided to appoint a sub-committee to decide where from the proposed Bus Yatra should be launched. The party is examining the dates and the place from which it has to be started with experienced leaders, he said.
Shabbir said that a Sub-Committee would be appointed to study the Declarations.
Shabbir said that the party has to announce OBC, SC, ST, Muslims, Christian, minority and Women’s Declarations and that the party is going to appoint a sub-committee on them to study how to help those groups. “The party will discuss with scholars and experts the five declarations,” he said.
He said that the PAC meeting condemned the atrocities in Manipur and demanded the immediate suspension of the Manipur government.
