Shutdown call by Hindu organisation total

In response to a call given by Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organisations to observe a bandh on Friday protesting against the attacks on the Hindus in Bangladesh, shopkeepers downed their shutters voluntarily taking part in the shutdown.
The shutdown was total not only in Asifabad but also in Kagaznagar.
The protestors took out a rally, which commenced at 10 am, through the thoroughfares of Asifabad condemning the attacks. They raised slogans in support of unity among the Hindus and zero tolerance policy towards the attacks on the Hindus.
The local MLA Kova Lakshmi demanded UNO to intervene to check the growing attacks on the Hindus in the troubled nation.  Even Muslim minorities took part in the protest and expressed their solidarity with the Hindus of the Bangladesh.
The BJP leader and former ZPTC ArigelaNageswar Rao, Bhongir Satish Babu, VishanKhandre, Congress Assembly constituency in-charge Shyam Nayak, former MPP Mallikarjun, Jago Hindu committee president Akula Santosh and others took part in the rally.
The police beefed up security all along the route of the rally to prevent any untoward incident taking place as part of the rally taken out under the aegis of several like-minded Hindu organisations.
During the course of the rally, MLA Kova Lakshmi developed dizziness. However, the doctors present there treated her and gave her ORS and helped  her recover immediately.
Besides Bajrang Dal, activists of Hindu Vahini and members of the joint action committee  of the Hindu organisations took part in the event.
