Provide best medical services in GGH round the clock: DC

District Collector P Ranjit Basha directed the doctors to provide the best medical services to the people in the Government hospital round the clock. The Collector along with Bapatla MLA Kota Raghupathi conducted a surprise inspection to the Area Hospital here on Friday.
The Collector and MLA visited all the wards of the hospital and inspected every department including the OP department, and Aarogyasri services. The medical officials brought to the attention of the Collector that an average of 700 OPs are registered every day. The Collector spoke to the patients who came for medical treatment.
Collector Ranjit Basha inquired from which they came to the hospital and which disease they were suffering. He also asked the patients about the medical treatment they were getting in the government hospital. The Collector asked the doctors about the blood tests, dengue, malaria tests, other major blood tests and the functioning of the medical equipment in the lab section.
The hospital staff told the Collector that 68 blood samples are taken on an average per day for testing. The Collector and MLA also visited the delivery ward and spoke with the postnatal women.
He directed the hospital doctors to provide the best medical treatments to the people and ensure that the medical services are available round the clock in the hospital. He ordered the doctors to keep ready-needed medicines and purchased essential medicines outside.
MLA Kona Raghupathi said that a new medical college is coming up in the district which would provide more medical services with high quality. He lauded the Chief Minister for establishing a 500-bed medical college hospital in the district. RDO G Ravindra and other officials were among those who accompanied the Collector and MLA.
