YSRCP leader and MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has made it clear that he has nothing to do with the attack on TDP Chandragiri candidate Pulivarthi Venkata Mani Prasad Nani and alleged that Nani was not injured in the attack on him.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy also claimed that he had considered Pulivarthi Nani as only a political rival. “Pulivarthi Nani slapped my brother-in-law. They attacked my car during the filing of the nomination. Though they harassed me severely, I did not file a case against them,” Chevireddy asserted.
Stating that Pulivarthi Nani was not injured in a clash that took place at Sri Padmavathi Women’s University on May 14, Pulivarthi Nani was active and safe after the clash. But two hours later, he was seen sitting in a wheelchair. Pulivarthi Nani enacted a drama and pretended that he was injured in the clash,” Chevireddy argued. Pulivarthi Nani’s drama dented the peace and tranquillity in the constituency, he lashed out.
Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy recalled that when Nara Lokesh conducted his padayatra through the Chandragiri constituency no untoward incident took place. The visit of Nara Bhuvaneswari was held peacefully, he added.

Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy alleged that Pulivarthi Nani and his wife abused him and the car of his son Mohit Reddy was burnt on polling day.
