Pushpa 2: The Rule is easily one of the most anticipated releases of 2024. Slated for a mid-August release, the film is in the midst of shooting. However, a massive controversy appears to have struck the film, with actor Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari being arrested for in lieu of assault allegations and abetment to suicide. The makers of Pushpa may or may not be planning a major shift for the film in this regard.
?According to reports, the producers of the film allegedly wanted to bail him out so as to go ahead with the shoot for the film. However, this does not seem to be working out which has led the producers to consider alternative options. The options are oscillating between completely recasting the role, or conversely, using a dupe to shoot the remaining scenes for the Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna led film. An official confirmation on either, is yet to be made.
For the unaware, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari essayed the role of Kesava in Pushpa: The Rise. The actor was all set to reprise the role in Pushpa 2: The Rule. However, Bandari’s recent arrest by the police coupled with the actor’s confession to committing the allegations he has been charged with, has put the makers of the film in a fix, owing to his unavailability.
