Quick transfers norm in AP

In view of the upcoming elections, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has been transferring IAS/IPS officers who have put in more than two years’ service at one place. However, such officials are moved to different places in quick succession before they settle down. A month back, TS Chetan was appointed as Director, Gram Secretariat and Ward Secretariat (GSWS), but within a short period the state government transferred him as Deputy Secretary of the Finance Department. HM Dhyan Chandra, who meanwhile had been elevated as Director GSWS with full additional charge, was subsequently appointed as MD AP Sports Authority.
