Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is all set to hold a public rally in Telangana during the first or second week of February. The rally is expected to take place in either Suryapet or Khammam, according to TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud.
This announcement followed a meeting between Telangana Congress leaders and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal in New Delhi. The meeting, attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and other senior leaders focused on various state-related issues.
During the hour-and-a-half-long discussion, the leaders reviewed several pressing matters, including Cabinet expansion and appointments to nominated posts and corporation chairperson posts,
which are expected to be finalized by January-end.
“Decisions regarding Cabinet expansion will be taken by the Chief Minister and the high command. We also discussed the restructuring of the TPCC Working Committee to ensure DCC Presidents have strong public support,” Mahesh said. This meeting, chaired by KC Venugopal, highlights Congress’s intent to consolidate its position in Telangana before major political developments.
