The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday that Hyderabad would have rains till June 29. On Sunday afternoon Lingampally, Hitech City, Kukatpally, Banjara Hills, Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Quthbullapur, Balanagar, Alwal and Pragathi Nagar and some other areas received moderate showers.
“Heavy showers likely in North Hyderabad areas like Lingampally, Hitech City and Kukatpally in the next 30 minutes. Scattered rains ahead in Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Jagtial, Kamareddy and Vikarabad districts,” Weather expert T. Balaji said on Twitter.
The IMD said that Telangana experienced light to moderate rains on June 25 and that heavy rains are likely to lash the districts of Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu on Monday.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely in the above districts on June 27 followed by moderate rains on June 28. The rains are likely to continue till June 29.
The Telangana State Development Planning Society said that some areas of Telangana and the GHMC area will have rains till June 29.
The maximum temperature in Telangana is expected to hover around 33 to 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature expected is between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature is likely to range from 23 degrees to 25 degrees Celsius.
