Telangana Congress leaders failed to get a place on the Congress Working Committee (CWC) general members’ list. However, former minister N. Raghuveera Reddy from Andhra Pradesh got a place in the CWC general members’ list.
T. Subbirami Reddy and Koppula Raju from Andhra Pradesh got a place on the CWC permanent invitees list. Former Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha also got a place on the CWC permanent invitees’ list.
Pallam Raju from Andhra Pradesh and Ch. Vamshichand Reddy from Telangana got a place in the CWC special invitees’ list.
The Congress high command reconstituted the CWC, the highest decision making body of the party. The party released the CWC list with 84 members and 39 members as CWC general members and 18 members as CWC permanent invitees and 14 members as in-charges and nine members as CWC special invitees and four as ex-officio members.
Dissident leaders and the members of the G-23 like Shashi Tharoor, Anand Sharma, Mukul Vasnik and others got a place on the Committee. Sachin Pilot, Syed Naseer Hussain and Deepa Dasmunshi also got a place in the CWC as new members.
