Rajini alleges political Vendetta in ACB cases

Must read

Former Minister Vidadala Rajini has strongly condemned what she calls fabricated ACB cases against her, describing them as the pinnacle of the “Redbook governance” prevailing in the state. Addressing the media, she accused TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu of orchestrating these cases as part of a personal vendetta. She alleged that the investigation against her is being influenced by Devarayalu, as the current SP is the son of a TDP MLC, making the probe biased. Asserting that the cases were an attempt to intimidate her, Rajini stated that she would not be cowed and was prepared to fight the allegations legally.
She further claimed that since the coalition government came to power ten months ago, TDP leaders have relentlessly propagated false accusations against her, culminating in the concoction of an ACB case based on a fabricated narrative. Denying any connection with the complainant, Rajini clarified that she has never met or spoken to them, nor engaged in any transactions.
However, she alleged that Devarayalu had influenced the case by promising support for the complainant’s illegal business ventures.
Rajini also revealed that on September 2, 2020, during a YSR anniversary event when the YSRCP was in power, Devarayalu—then an MP—misused the Gurazala Circle Inspector (CI) and DSP to illegally collect call data of her, her family, and her office staff. Following her complaint to the then-Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party leadership reprimanded Devarayalu, and the police department suspended the CI and DSP after an inquiry. Since then, she alleged, Devarayalu has harboured a grudge against her, which has now escalated.
Presenting evidence of Devarayalu’s involvement, Rajini cited a complaint filed on his letterhead to the DGP, Home Minister, Vigilance, CID, and ACB authorities. She also accused him of working alongside MLA Pattipati Pullarao to falsely implicate her in SC/ST atrocity cases, while also targeting her brother-in-law in Germany and her elderly father-in-law.
While expressing respect for educationist Lavu Rattayya, she stated that she was compelled to expose his son Devarayalu’s misdeeds, including alleged attempts to grab lake lands in Vizag and elsewhere at throwaway prices. Asserting that these efforts to intimidate her would fail, Rajini declared, “They cannot scare me.” She concluded by announcing her intent to pursue a legal battle against the fabricated cases.
