Rakshana producer takes legal action against Paayal Rajput! 

In her most recent film, Mangalavaaram, actress Paayal Rajput astonished everyone by taking on a difficult and distinctive character. Rakshana, a crime investigative thriller, is her upcoming film on cards, where the actress will assume the role of a tough police officer for the first time in her career.
The film has certainly been in the news, with a lot of buzz surrounding the film and its developments. However, this time, the film is in talks for a different reason. The Telugu Film Producers Council shared on Monday that the council has received a complaint from the producer and director of the film, Prandeep Thakore, against the lead actress Paayal Rajput regarding not giving dates for promotion of his film Rakshana.
According to the producer and as per the agreement, she was supposed to work for 50 days for the completion of the film in addition to the promotion of the film. However, the producer used her services for 47 days. He mentioned that with all the problems faced by him due to COVID, he completed the film and, with business done on the above-mentioned film, planned to release it on April 19.
Notwithstanding the above, the producer and director informed that he is ready to pay the balance remuneration amount only before the release and after her participation in the publicity of the film. Accordingly, the producer deposited the cheque of Rs 6 lakh dated April 4 favouring Paayal Rajput in the council.
The producer further mentioned that if the main lead does not attend the promotion of the film, he and his family will suffer financial losses as her absence from the promotion of the movie will have a considerable impact on the business and revenue from the film to be released.
On the other hand, the actress had also taken this issue to her Instagram and shared a post where she also alleged some serious allegations against the producer. Sharing the post, she revealed that her team had attempted to negotiate the digital promotion of Rakshana with Paayal, suggesting clearing dues with compensation first. However, they had refused to compromise! She further went on to reveal that they had used inappropriate language, stating that the distributor asked Paayal to showcase certain assets and would further be banned from doing films.
