In the heart of the bustling film industry, where creativity meets ambition, Rakshit Atluri stands poised to captivate audiences once again. Known for his compelling roles in films like Palasa and Narakasura, Atluri now ventures into the realm of suspense thrillers with Operation Raavan, set for a global theatrical release on the 26th of this month. Directed by Venkata Sathya and produced under the keen eye of Dhyan Atluri, the film promises to redefine the genre with its innovative storyline and stellar cast.
In an exclusive interview, Rakshit Atluri shared insights into the making of Operation Raavan, shedding light on the film’s origins and his transformative journey within it.
“The concept of Operation Raavan took root during the Covid-19 lockdown,” he revealed, reflecting on the genesis of the project. “After the success of Palasa, discussions at Sudhas Media revolved around crafting a thriller that would resonate deeply with today’s audience.”
Under the guidance of his father, Dhyan Atluri, a seasoned storyteller in his own right, Rakshit Atluri embraced the challenge of portraying Anand Sriram, a pivotal character in the narrative. “Working under my father’s direction has been a unique experience. His vision and attention to detail have shaped every aspect of this film, from script development to the intricate dynamics of each scene,” shared the Palasa star.
One of the film’s highlights is the character ‘Psycho,’ played by Sangeerthana Vipin, whose portrayal Atluri believes will leave a lasting impression. “To engage the audience further, we’ve launched a special initiative tied to the character ‘Psycho,’ viewers who identify Psycho and reach out to us will receive a specially minted silver coin, a gesture aimed at connecting deeply with our audience,” he shared enthusiastically.
Reflecting on the challenges and rewards of his role, Atluri expressed his ambition to diversify his on-screen persona. “While Operation Raavan doesn’t seek to preach, it explores the complexities of its characters and their ideological conflicts. This film has been a journey of personal growth for me, pushing me to explore new dimensions in my acting,” the actor explained.
From action-packed sequences to moments of introspection, Atluri’s dedication to his craft shines through. “I sustained an injury during one of the action scenes. Every challenge has been an opportunity to evolve as an actor.”
With Radhika Sarath Kumar’s formidable presence and the cinematic finesse of director Venkata Sathya, Operation Raavan promises a theatrical experience unlike any other. “The immersive sound and visuals are integral to the storytelling. This film is crafted for the big screen, where audiences can truly immerse themselves in its world,” he affirmed.
Looking ahead, the actor remains focused on his craft, with upcoming projects like Sasivadane and Palasa 2 on the horizon. “Each film is a chance to connect with audiences in new ways,” he concluded with a smile. “I believe Operation Raavan and its successors will bring me closer to the hearts of viewers, sparking conversations and leaving a lasting impact.”
