Rally slams attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh

A large number of people affiliated to various Hindu outfits took out a rally here on Wednesday condemning the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and arrest of in-charge of ISKCON in Bangladesh, Chinmay Krishna Swamy.
The Hindu activists took out a rally from Prasanna Chennakesava Swamy temple located at Keshava Swamypet to the Collector’s office where they staged a dharna. They held placards and raised slogans condemning the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Vishwa Hindu Parishad district president Mallikharjun alleged that the Bangladesh Government failed to prevent attacks on Hindus.  The Bangladesh Government citing lame excuses in containing attacks on Hindu.
“The International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISCON) preaches peace and harmony. Arresting Bangladesh Chief of ISKCON Krishna Swamy is highly condemnable. The Bangladesh Government itself resorts to atrocities against the Hindus,” he lamented.
When attacks and atrocities are taking place against, the Bangladesh Government remains a mute spectator without taking stringent steps to curb the attacks, he lashed out.
“The attacks against Hindus across Bangladesh highlights the necessity of Hindu to be united in India to face such a situation, if it arises,” he called upon the Hindus. Later the leaders of various Hindu outfits met Collector Thameem Ansariya and submitted her representation.
Leaders of various Hindu organizations VHP district secretary E Sitaramaiah, Jillellamudi Venkateswarulu, Pasumarthi Venkateswarulu, Vennela Subba Rao  and T Satyavati, M Aravinda Lakshmi and Jandyam Radha Ramana Gupta were among those who took part in the rally.
