While Allu Arjun’s recent controversy continues to be a major talking point in the industry, his cousin Ram Charan has begun promoting his upcoming film Game Changer in Dallas, USA. The film is directed by Shankar and produced by Dil Raju.
On Saturday night, several personalities from the film unit attended the promotional event in Dallas. Addressing the gathering, Ram Charan joked, “It feels as if we never left India. Maybe that’s why Dallas is now called Dallas Puram.”
The actor expressed his gratitude to work with Shankar, saying, “I always dreamed of asking him to direct a Telugu film, but I never imagined I’d get to work with him. It’s been a beautiful three-year journey of learning and growth.”
Ram Charan compared Shankar to Indian cinema, likening him to Sachin Tendulkar in cricket. He termed Shankar the number one commercial filmmaker. “This is my first solo film in five years and it’s special,” said the actor.
In a lighthearted moment, Ram Charan imitated producer Dil Raju’s style, saying, Meeku enni Venumo, Anni Irrukinga.
Sukumar, director of Pushpa, attended the event as a special guest. He praised the Telugu audience in the USA for their support of Telugu cinema. “I cannot thank Dil Raju enough in my life. When many producers hesitated to work with new directors, he trusted me with Arya,” said Sukumar.
Sukumar revealed that he received his first Filmfare Award from Shankar. Speaking about Ram Charan, Sukumar said, “He is like my brother and working with him is always a delight.”
Sukumar shared that he watched Game Changer with Chiranjeevi. “After the likes of Shankar sir’s Gentleman and Bharateeyudu, I enjoyed this film a lot. I thought Charan would win a National Award for Rangasthalam, but after watching this film’s climax, I am certain he will win it this time,” said Sukumar.
