Ram Pothineni’s film story leaked

Ram Pothineni is an actor who needs a break this time. His last hit was ‘iSmart Shankar’ that was released in 2019 and after that he did so many films, including the sequel ‘Double iSmart’, but all films bombed at the box office. Now, Ram is doing a film with director Mahesh Babu P and the shooting has also started. The unit is leaving for Rajahmundry for a major part of the shooting, says a source.
According to a unit source, the story revolves around a cinema theatre which the protagonist wants to build in his village. The protagonist is also a big fan of a Superstar in the story and for him, he is going to build this theatre, by inviting him to watch his film, says the source. The makers wanted to rope in Malayalam actor Mohan Lal for the Superstar role initially, but the actor still has not yet decided about it, added the source. The first look of Ram Pothineni as Sagar was released a few days back and it got a good response. Bhagyashri Borse is the female lead, while Mythri Movie Makers is producing it.
It has been so many years since Ram had a hit and his market is also completely down after his last few films. So, the production house didn’t want to spend much money on Ram Pothineni, says the source. So, they wanted to complete the film as early as possible. If Mohan Lal does not accept or is not available, the makers want to go with some other actor and finish the film, added the source. Ram is hoping that this film at least will be a success, because the director’s earlier film ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’, was a big success.
