Director Krishna Vamsi, beyond the idea of success and failure, has delivered some of the most original films ever produced in Telugu cinema, right from Gulabi to Sindhooram to Ninne Pelladatha, Khadgam and Murari. Now, the filmmaker, many years after the Nagarjuna-Ramya Krishna starrer Chandralekha, is trying his hand at a remake. Rangamarthanda, which is set to hit theatres soon, is the Telugu remake of the Marathi hit Nata Samrat, originally headlined by Nana Patekar.
After launching the first look of Prakash Raj as Raghava Rao earlier on Wednesday, the team unveiled a glimpse of his female counterpart Ramya Krishna as Raju gaaru on Thursday. Raju gaaru and Ramya Krishna? This has already got us curious.
Launching the glimpse, Krishna Vamsi wrote, “Hi… With a great love n respect presenting the pan India fire, my dearest ammoru ever gorgeous @MERAMYAKRISHNAN in soft volcanic Raju gaaru.” Donning a beautiful blue sari paired with a pink blouse, with a huge bindi on her forehead, Ramya Krishna is at her elegant best in a traditional avatar. She is cast as Prakash Raj’s on-screen wife in Rangamarthanda.
