Actress Ramya Nambeesan, who will next be seen alongside JD Chakravarthy and Eesha Rebba in Dayaa, speaks to the media and shares some insights about the project.

JD Chakravarthy, Eesha Rebba, and Ramya Nambeesan starrer Dayaa is all set to premiere on Disney + Hotstar soon. As the movie’s premiere is nearing, the promotions are in full swing.
SVF banner, a leading Bengali production house, is producing the series. One of the leading actors in the show, Ramya Nambeeshan, who has mostly done Tamil and Malayalam films, is playing the role of a journalist in this show. Not just acting, she also became popular after singing the very popular Oo Antava in Malayalam for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa.
The actress shared, “I will do the film if I connect with any character. I was shocked when Pavan told me this story. I never thought that an offer would come from the Telugu industry. Every character has importance in this project. It is worth watching till the end.”
She has earlier done a movie in Telugu called Saarai Veerraju in Telugu. Now she is back with this show, which is being made in seven languages. The actress, who is a big fan of actor Nani, said, “The energy comes only when JD Chakravarthy is next to me. I don’t have many scenes with him. I want to act with him again. It was a pleasure to work with him.”
Taking essence from Bengali film Taqdeer, the director of the show, Pavan, has reworked this script, which also stars small screen star anchor Vishnu Priya in a key role.
One of the reasons for Ramya to come on board this project was the trust she had in his director, as she feels Pavan has always given priority to women in his projects. She added, “It is not a story that revolves around a single character. Each character has priority. I have never played such an intense, serious role in my career. Kavita’s role is amazing. It is well shown what kinds of situations a lady journalist faces. Dayaa entertains everyone.”
Like many stars, even Ramya feels that with the advent of OTT platforms, opportunities have increased for many people. OTT is indeed a great development, she feels that new opportunities are coming for everyone. “Boundaries have been broken with OTT,” shared Ramya.
The actress further shared that the visuals and RR in Dayaa are the backbone of this web series.
“The audience will surely be thrilled to see Dayaa, and they will definitely be shocked after watching this web series. Watch it for the thrill,” concluded Ramya.
