Asking former BRS Minister T. Harish Rao to explain why the BRS government did not issue ration cards during the last 10 years, Government Whip Aadi Srinivas said the Congress government would certainly waive the loans of farmers even if they do not have ration cards. He said that there would not have been any problem while implementing the farm loan waiver scheme if the BRS government had issued ration cards.
Lashing out at Harish’s statement regarding the farm loan waiver scheme, he said the government has no way to identify farmers’ families except through ration cards.
Harish’s government had not implemented the Rs 1 lakh farm loan waiver scheme and therefore he has no right to criticise the Congress government, Aadi said.
He said the Congress government has already waived loans amounting to Rs 18,000 crore and will waive loans amounting to Rs 31,000 crore soon. He said the Congress government will not avoid waiving loans like the BRS government.
He said that farmers are happy, however, Harish and BRS leaders are not happy with the implementation of the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver scheme and so they are inciting farmers.
Harish’s uncle KCR is in his farmhouse and his cousin KTR is in the US enjoying himself but Harish is spitting venom at the Congress government, Aadi said.
