For many of us, nothing can beat the excitement of having a good crime thriller to look forward to watching. Thrillers engage the intellect too. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja attempted a complete crime thriller, for the first time, and the movie Ravanasura is directed by Sudheer Varma who is a specialist in making films in the thriller genre. While the title alone created inquisitiveness, the tagline heroes don’t exist made us further curious whether Ravi Teja is the good guy or the bad guy.
The makers came up with a teaseron Monday and it presented Ravi Teja in a multi-shaded character. The teaser begins with a criminal chasing a girl and the next frame shows a girl lying down lifeless with blood all over her body. An experienced officer played by Jayaram is assigned to resolve the murder case. “Prathi Criminal Vaadu Chesina Crime Meeda Vaadi Signature Vadilesi Vellipothaadu… Look For That Signature…” says he.
Ravi Teja is introduced as a Lawyer. But the series of shots show different variations in the character. He gives a malicious smile, gazes seriously, and roars with enthusiasm when he gets into action. Finally, Sushanth is introduced. “Sita Ni Theeskellalente Samudram Daatithe Saripodu… Ee Ravanasurunni Daati Vellali…” warns Ravi Teja. Back-to-back frames show Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Anu Emmanuel, and Pujitha Ponnada. The final block shows the brutishness of Ravi Teja’s character.
There is a quote mentioned in the teaser- “Truth Is Scarier Than Fiction.” This crime saga seems to be scarier than we assumed.
So many shades in Ravi Teja’s character and he nailed it with his impeccable performance. Ravi Teja is known for his energy. As Ravanasura, he has given next-level performance. It’s a joy for eyes to see him perform like that on screen. Sushanth got limited screen time in the teaser, yet he makes an impact. Jayaram makes his presence felt as an investigative officer.
Sudheer Varma is a master craftsman. The way he presented Ravi Teja’s character in this crime thriller is beyond our imagination. This is not the regular Ravi Teja we have seen in commercial movies. He is a new man. Just with the teaser, the director and hero duo made us speechless.
Srikanth Vissa penned a first-of-its-kind story for the movie and Vijay Kartik Kannan’s camera work is stupendous. Harshavardhan Rameswar and Bheems Ceciroleo duo brought extra intensity with their background score. Naveen Nooli’s work for the teaser cut is extraordinary. Every single frame tells something. Produced by Abhishek Nama and Ravi Teja on Abhishek Pictures and RT Teamworks, the production standards are first class.
