Popular actor Ravi Teja is bereaved. His father, Rajgopal Raju, passed away on Tuesday night at Ravi Teja’s residence in Hyderabad. He was 90. Rajagopal had three sons and Ravi Teja is the elder one. The second son, Bharath, died in a car accident in 2017. The third son, Raghu, is an actor and has appeared in many films.
Rajagopal Raju hails from the East Godavari district and worked as a pharmacist. In his profession, Rajagopal mostly worked in northern cities like Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai. Because of that, Ravi Teja is fluent in the Hindi language. Ravi Teja was very close to his father and always gives credit to him for his success.
Many members of the film industry, who are close to Ravi Teja, condoled the demise of Rajagopal Raju and some of them visited Ravi Teja’s residence. Chiranjeevi, on his social media, said that he met Ravi Teja’s father on the sets of Waltair Veerayya. “I felt sad when I heard about my brother Ravi Teja’s father Rajgopal Raju’s death. I last met him on the Waltair Veerayya sets and he was a jovial person. My condolences to the family and I pray for his soul,” said Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi’s brother and AP Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan, also sent his condolences to Ravi Teja’s family.
