The ‘Razakar’ movie’s trailer has been creating ripples among political parties in Telangana before the movie’s release. The ‘Razakar’ team released a trailer on September 17 coinciding with the Hyderabad ‘Liberation Day,’ garnering millions of views in no time.
The movie says, “India gained independence on August 15, 1947, but Hyderabad did not.” It also tries to highlight the atrocities committed by the Razakars against the people of erstwhile Hyderabad State.
Senior Telangana BJP leader Gudur Narayana Reddy produced the film and Yata Sathyanarayana directed it. The BJP’s senior leader, former Maharashtra Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, BJP General Secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar, former MPs AP Jithender Reddy and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and others attended the release of the trailer.
However, political leaders from the BRS, the Congress and the Left reacted adversely to the ‘Razakar’ teaser. But BJP leaders like Sanjay countered them in their own style. KTR re-tweeted saying, “Some intellectually bankrupt jokers of the BJP are doing their best to instigate communal violence and polarise society in Telangana”.
