Director Yata Satyanarayana of ‘Razakar’ film fame is happy that his film is now streaming on OTT on January 24. “Though the film was released some time back, the delay in screening an OTT is due to film festivals and a Hindi release,” said the director. He added that he sent it for many film festivals and won appreciation. “Our film received fantastic response in Hindi, Marathi and other languages. Out of 18 film festivals we applied to, we were selected for 15. It was recognized as the Best Indian Debut at the IFFI held in Goa, where I was nominated for Best Director,” he said.
He added that representatives from 75 countries at the Goa Film Festival appreciated the film, and 72 countries attended its screening at the Jaipur Film Festival. They were all astonished to learn about such a significant chapter in India’s freedom struggle. The film has won multiple awards. The film is now screening on Aha OTT channel from January 24.
The director said that he wrote many stories on Telangana’s history. “I have 20 more stories about the heroes from Telangana’s history, and I plan to turn them into films as soon as possible,” said Satyanarayana.
