Rebecca Ferguson, who starred in Dune: Part Two, disclosed that her vociferous charges directed towards an actor who was not yet named sent her fellow cast members into a state of fear as they all wanted to know who the actress was referring to.
Ferguson revealed that the internet began speculating about the identity of the Hollywood star Ferguson named after her February interview, in which she branded her co-star “an absolute idiot,” went viral.
The Mission Impossible actress said in an interview said that she had no idea the word would spread so quickly and that it would become a guessing game. “First of all, yes, I did kind of like the grab”, Ferguson remarked. “But even at my current age of 21, I’ve come to the realisation that it’s irrelevant. Yes, I think I’m a lot more open. I am also aware of my boundaries. Naturally, people will be curious, but that wasn’t the purpose of the interview. However, I found the topic intriguing, as it was posed by Josh Smith and was quite well-thought out.”
“Because the point was: Is there a point in your career where you were treated in a way that you changed your decision on—this is how I formulated it in myself—where you want change, or you will not accept it?” Rebecca stated, continuing along the same lines. “And dealing with this guy was such a vivid moment for me at that time.”
The Swedish actress said in her interview that she got calls from “some amazing co-stars” after her remarks went viral. “But I got calls from amazing co-stars who I’ve worked with saying, ‘You understand what you’ve done, right?!’” Rebecca disclosed. “And I was like, ‘Oh my God,’” she continued. ‘No, I wasn’t thinking. To be honest, it’s not my responsibility. Really, I don’t care. You know, “You’re great, but don’t worry about it; if you’re a good person, then my story is my story.”
“The person was Meryl Steep, and everybody knows it,” the interviewer teased the actor, to which Ferguson laughed and retorted, “Dammit.” Rebecca Ferguson claimed as she was leaving the set in tears that one of her co-stars had yelled at her in front of the entire crew!
