After playing an impactful role in Shoorveer, actress Regina Cassandra is all set to be a part of her own “Fauji universe” — well she got attracted to this expression on the zoom call, thereby get everything ready to watch her make another smashing hit with Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke.

In an exclusive interview with us, the Saakini Daakini actress opened up about bagging the show, sharing screen space with Sumeet Vyas and more.“I wanted this kind of publicity for my show where it’s nothing less than a fan-fare. But, I am not swamping yet. We had someone come over to explain about the different guns! I know how to hold a gun, but even in my previous series I wasn’t participating with artillery but fighter jets. My personal belief says, “I don’t need to learn everything under the sun because as an artist I know how to do it with conviction already”.”

Produced by Juggernaut and helmed by national award-winning director, Srijit Mukherji, Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke focusses on a woman IPS officer, Kavya, played by Regina Cassandra. She is spontaneous, dedicated, and a go-getter, who takes all her missions head on and will stop at nothing in her fight for the country.

“IPS is the most admirable post and mighty, I am playing one. I felt some kind of glory. I was volunteering to make a difference in the community because it’s no easy task to work in the police. Realised it during the shoot. Even our set environment was becoming physically demanding and at times distressing. In the real world, it’s potentially dangerous too! Doing this series was also one of my strategic moves: patriotism and religion are the two veering topics these days. Binge-watchers can’t miss these! Indian audiences cannot go without some acknowledgement towards patriotism.”

Taking over the posters of the series is also Regina Cassandra and she agrees, “I am looking bad-ass (she laughs out loud). This series is the big step for me in my OTT career, headlining my own show. Three cheers for the makers and especially the channel!

The posters are very creative and producers invested in me, means alot. A special mention to my co-star Sumeet too, who without a doubt said a “yes” to a female-led script. I had few girls messaging me as soon as the poster was out saying “please arrest me” and I went ‘yahoooo’.”
