Regional parties are supporting Modi: CM

The Chief Minister made it clear that government
will stand by Christian community

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that the State government will stand by the Christians who spread the message of peace and love in the society. Medak Diocese Bishop Padmarao, Reverend John George AMJ Kumar, Rev. Sam Abraham, Anil Thomas along with representatives of various churches and independent churches called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
Revanth Reddy said that the regional parties have no relevance in national level elections and all the seats won by regional parties are supporting Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister recalled that KCR won 11 MP seats in 2014 and 9 MP seats in 2019. The BRS party supported abrogation of article 370, GST, demonetisation and anti-farmer bills brought by the Narendra Modi government. KCR supported Modi at every stage. The Chief Minister appealed to people to support the Congress to form a secular government at the national level.
The Christian delegation explained to the Chief Minister the problems including the encroachment of church properties. In a quick response, the CM made the promise of protecting church properties and facilitating the construction of new churches. Required land will be allocated for Christian burial grounds. The Chief Minister expressed his willingness to visit the Medak Church again as he visited in the capacity of TPCC President during the Assembly elections.

The Chief Minister said that before Malkajgiri MP election, he discussed many issues with Christian religious leaders in Secunderabad. After being elected as MP, he participated in many celebrations including Christmas. Revanth Reddy reiterated that his government respects religious freedom .
Revanth Reddy said that a frightening  situation prevailed after the formation of Narendra Modi government at the center and KCR government in the state in 2014. The chief minister expressed concern that the conditions of living as second-class citizens have come against the spirit of the constitution. The Chief Minister cited the incidents of Manipur and Gujarat saying that when riots and conflicts happened in the past, the rulers used to suppress them. Today, the rules are behind the conflicts. This is not good for the welfare of the country and everyone should exercise utmost patience. Rahul Gandhi’s goal is to love the people and keep all sections of people together. For this, Rahul Gandhi undertook the trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and then started the second leg of the trip from Manipur to Gujarat. The Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister did not go to Manipur, where clashes are taking place.
After Rahul Gandhi’s visit, the central and state governments came down and controlled the clashes.
A secular government has been established in Telangana, the CM said, appealing to everyone to cooperate in the establishment of a secular government at the Centre.
The Chief Minister also appealed to everyone to support Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister.
