Former minister and Suryapet MLA G Jagadish Reddy demanded that the government immediately operate lifts in Sagar ayacut and save the withering orchards.
Addressing the media in Miryalaguda, Jagadish Reddy said that the tanks in the left canal area should be filled with water on a war footing through lifts and tubewells. It is the responsibility of the government to save lakhs of acres of orchards that are drying up.

Jagadish Reddy, who started the campaign on behalf of the farmers as an opposition party, said that KCR himself entered the field.  “We will hold protests in all constituencies tomorrow. We are also demanding that water should be released under SLBC and the tanks should be filled.’
