The historic Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple on the hillock in the village Valmidi under Palakurthi mandal in Jangoan district was renovated at a cost of Rs 50 crore. The renovation work was taken up under the spiritual tourism circuit.
Minister for Finance T Harish Rao, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Minister for Women and Child Welfare Satyanavathi Rathod and Minister for Endowments A Indrakaran Reddy, along with MLAs, attended the event.
Sri Sri Tridani Sriamannarayana installed the statues on Monday. Harish Rao and Indrakaran Reddy took part in the programme.
Chinajeeyar Swamy lauded the State government for the renovations of the temple and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for providing everything to the people in the State.
The celebrations included Sri Sitha Ramachandra Swamy’s Shanti Kalyanam Pandita Sanysam and Maha Annadan programme. The Maha Annadanm programme witnessed the participation of 3,000 people.
Jangaon District Collector Ch Shivalingaiah, Mahabubabad District Collector K Shashakan, Jangoan Additional Collector Rohit Singh and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said the temple in Valmidi village would be developed further.
The Minister hinted at the ropeway project to be sanctioned.
