At the all-party MPs’ meeting chaired by Bhatti Vikramarka, the media faced an unexpected snub. Journalists who arrived at Praja Bhavan for coverage were denied entry, leaving them stranded outside for hours. Despite their repeated attempts, there was no response from the organisers, forcing them to wait on the road under the scorching sun. As the heat became unbearable, the journalists found refuge in the nearby residence of Seethakka, who, upon learning about their plight, arranged food for them. Interestingly, when Bhatti finally addressed the press, most journalists chose to skip it, making it clear that they weren’t amused by the cold shoulder they had received earlier. However, Bhatti seemed unbothered by their absence, adding another layer to the already brewing discontent.
