REPORTER’S DIARY : Is media landing Dharani-Bhumatha in trouble?

Media persons worth their salt do their job, nothing more and nothing less. As for the Dharani portal, much has been written about its ills during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi regime. The Congress government, which had promised to clean up the mess with its own portal called Bhumatha, is perhaps scared of media monitoring of the transition.  Otherwise, why would the state government ask the Dharani Committee to take a call on organizing press conferences after every sitting?
It is learnt that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the Dharani Committee members not to conduct press meets after its meeting every time. Scribes on the Secretariat beat, who read between the lines, gathered that the CM was concerned that the right message was not going out through such pressers. So, the CM directed the Committee members, particularly Kisan Congress national vice-chairman, not to conduct press meet after every meeting of the Dharani Committee.
