Is Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s brass a lot more accessible to the media, considering that they are in the Opposition camp now? The answer seems to be: ‘No’. Know why. When a question was posed to a few journalists, if KCR had become accessible to the media, the stock answer was “not yet”. In fact, when a few resourceful reporters tried to reach out to him, they could not get to him, largely because the coterie around him continues to hold the key. A little bird told us that plans are afoot for KCR’s interaction with the media. The wait, meanwhile, is agonizing, considering that his last major presser was on 11 May, 2024, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. After that, ‘communication’ from the ex-CM has largely been one-way, only through press notes, which are by definition insulated from media queries and clarifications from the issuing authority.
