REPORTERS’ DIARY : Revanth Quiet on Chandrababu!

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has plenty to flaunt – but oddly, he doesn’t. Except when it comes to SC categorisation, where he takes full credit and never misses a chance to thump his chest. On every other front, he’s outperforming his Andhra Pradesh N counterpart Chandrababu Naidu. Free bus rides for women are already a reality, Arogyasri has been hiked, crop loan waiver is partly done, Rythu Bharosa is being credited, Davos deals and even the delimitation discrimination meeting. Naidu’s scoreboard is mostly held up by pension distribution. In any other setting, this Telangana vs Andhra delivery battle would be dominating the headlines.  He prefers being compared with KCR where he is not allowed to get the upper hand. Revanth seems almost allergic to comparisons with Naidu. The reasons? Pick your theory – maybe it’s the old guru-shishya dynamic, or the lingering shadow of the cash-for-vote scandal, or perhaps a calculated silence to keep Delhi’s gaze soft. . For now, Revanth’s mic seems set to ‘selective’.
