Retired IAS officer GSRKR Vijay Kumar will launch the padayatra aimed to know the welfare and development of the SCs/STs/BCc and minorities.
Vijaya Kumar will embark on his walkathon at Tada soon. He will announce when he launches his padayatra, sources said.
Amid political speculations that the retired IAS officer would contest in the YSRCP ticket in the next election in a constituency either in Bapatla district or in Prakasam district, he is launching a marathon walkathon.
Sources said that he would begin his padayatra in two or three days from Tada. In the first phase, he would cover Tada to Tuni. Rayalaseema districts will be covered in the second phase and the north AP districts, in the third phase.
Vijaya Kumar worked as Collector in Prakasam district and later he worked as ex officio secretary in the Planning Department. He has conducted many meetings with various communities during the past few months and knew whether they were getting the benefits of welfare schemes.
