TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy has demanded that the Governor should dismiss Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy as they were issuing political statements in spite of occupying Constitutional posts.

Speaking to the media on Saturday at the Gandhi Bhavan on his criticism of BRS leaders, Revanth said, “The Speaker and the Council Chairman have aged but their intelligence has not increased with age. Gutha and Pocharam are occupying the posts of Council Chairman and Assembly Speaker and they should be above politics. But like politicians, they are criticising the opposition. Pocharam’s sons are engaged in all kinds of illegal businesses from gravel to sand. Pocharam is behaving like this for the sake of his sons. The Congress made Gutha Sukhender Reddy an MP twice although he was not competent even to become a Panchayat member. Gutha joined the BRS hoping to become a minister. Now Gutha is behaving badly to get an Assembly ticket for his son in Nalgonda. Our Komatireddy has taught Gutha a good lesson in Nalgonda.”

Revanth said that Pocharam and Gutha should be removed as they are holding Constitutional posts and talking politics. He said that they had betrayed their parties, deceived leaders who trusted them and are now betraying the people too.

He demanded that the Governor should immediately dismiss them from their posts. He also asked the relatives of Pocharam and Gutha not to invite them to any functions. “One can lose his image if he invites Pocharam or Gutha,” Revanth said.

It may be recalled that Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Gutha Sukhender Reddy had criticised Revanth severely on the free power supply issue.
