‘Revanth implementing loan waiver in spite of financial constraints’

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Excise Jupally Krishna Rao has said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, in an effort to fuilfil the promise made by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi at Warangal Declaration, has been implementing the Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver. The government has already implemented six guarantees promised to the people within seven months of Congress coming to power in Telangana. The Chief Minister is implementing the loan waiver in spite of severe financial constraints.
He was taking part in the Rytu Runa Maafi celebrations held at Rytu Vedika in Bhikkanurumandal along with advisor to the government Shabbir Ali and Collector Ashish Sangwan.
The state government has been implementing the people-centric welfare schemes despite hurdles, he said.
Criticising the previous BRS regime, he said that the previous government policies had benefited contractors. The previous government had destroyed the medical and health and education sectors.
He asked the officials to devote more time to resolve the people’s problems and advised them to be courteously towards  people. Further, he asked the officials not to keep the representations received from people in pending and resolve them within a week or 10 days.
The Minister said that he would take steps to complete the Kaleswaram project pending works in Kamareddy district.
Advisor to Government Shabbir Ali recalled how the irrigation projects constructed during Jawaharlal Nehru time helped overcome food crisis. The modern temples of Pochampadu and Nagarjuna Sagar project turned Andhra and Telangana regions into rice bowls. Because of Sonia Gandhi statehood to Telangana was achieved.
The Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver for farmers, as promised by Rahul Gandhi, is under way, he sai,d giving full credit for t his to CM Revanth Reddy.  He asked the farmers not to give credence to rumours on the loan waiver, which is certain to be implemented. In case of any difficulty, they should contact officials.
Collector Ashish Sangwan said that the first phase of the loan waiver of Rs 1 lakh crop loan benefited 49,541 farmers to the tune of Rs 235.61 crore. He advised the farmers to contact the helpline on 7288894616 set up in the office of the district agriculture officer in case of any technical problem.
