Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy is a “disciple of former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu,” while BJP State unit president G Kishan Reddy is a “disciple of former chief minister for combined Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy,” said Minister for Finance T Harish Rao. To drive his point home, he said, “Chandrababu Naidu and Kiran Kumar ruined our (Telangana people) lives during their tenures.” He recalled that Kiran Kumar Reddy, when he was chief minister, was an ardent integrationist. “Now, they (Kishan Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy) are working hand in hand to cheat people,” he pointed out.

Speaking at a meeting, shortly after inaugurating the new panchayat office building at Giripally in the district, he sought to remind the people that the BJP had brought anti-farmer laws. Now, the Congress advocated that a three-hour power supply is enough to farm sector. “The Congress and BJP have turned out to be a curse for the people,” he remarked.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s foresight ensured a life of dignity for farmers. The policies pursued by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government helped farmers raise three crops a year, he said. The BJP was responsible for the deaths of a large number of farmers in the country. He appealed to the people to lend their support to the Chief Minister and BRS government.

Home Minister Mohammed Mohamood Ali, Harish Rao and Siddipet Zilla Parishad Chairperson V Roja Radhakrishna Sharma laid the foundation stone for a police office complex at Gouraram. The police complex, which includes a circle office and police station, will be built at a cost of Rs 16.15 crore.

The Home Minister said that the Telangana government has accorded top priority to law and order in the State. Telangana police stood top in the country and secured several national awards and rewards.
