Bharat Rashtra Samiti senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan has called out Telangana Pradesh Congress chief Revanth Reddy for boasting that he would “strip and thrash” police if the Congress was voted to power. He described Revanth’s comments as “absolutely atrocious, barbarian and irresponsible in a democratic society”.
Coming down heavily on the Congress MP’s extremely uncivilised and criminal conduct, Dasoju Sravan questioned why the AICC leadership had been turning a blind eye to Revanth Reddy’s “repeated illegal acts, blackmailing, threats of violence, and criminal conduct”.
“TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, speaking in a meeting, threatened the police that he will strip and thrash police, if the Congress comes to power. This is extremely atrocious and barbarian conduct in a democracy.
Revanth Reddy has publicly threatened the police, who are mandated to implement law and order and ensure safety. Only a seasoned criminal will behave like this in a democratic society. What is of serious concern is, this has become a habit for Revanth Reddy and he has been repeatedly indulging in threatening politics and blackmailing tactics,” said Dr Dasoju Sravan.
Pointing out that Revanth Reddy had threatened and humiliated even people belonging to SCs, STs, OBCs like Gouda, Pichukuntla, Yadava, Nayi Brahmins, transgenders and others in the past, Dasoju Sravan demanded TPCC chief to tender an unconditional apology to the police.
“Congress scion and MP Rahul Gandhi has been talking of ‘Nafrat ka Bazar Me Mohabbat ka Dukaan’ all over India. But here in a Telangana Rahul Gandhi and AICC has been unflinchingly supporting Revanth Reddy who has been trying hard to spread the politics of hatred. Frustrated and pervert Revanth Reddy is mentally sick and stooping to deplorable depths, using foul language and criminal intimidation that flagrantly violates any political decorum. But AICC leadership has been taking no action against Revanth” underlined Dasoju Sravan, while highlighting Congress party’s double standard.
“Rahul Gandhi should know that while he is just talking about spreading love, CM KChandrasekhar Rao has already turned Telangana into a ‘Mohabbat Ka Bazar’ where people belonging to all sectionsare living happily and harmoniously. Revanth Reddy’s efforts to run a ‘Nafrat ka Dukan’ in it will only backfire on the Congress,” Dasoju Sravan observed.
Explaining how Revanth’s personal ruffian and criminal attitude had transformed into ‘Congress culture’ in Telangana, Dr Dasoju Sravan questioned the AICC leadership’s inaction.
“Congress party has stooped so low in Telangana that it has come up with a violent, uncouth, and unconstitutional slogan of ‘Tiragabadadaam Tharimikodadham’ for its official election campaign. Has the Congress lost confidence in parliamentary democracy under the leadership of ruffian Revanth Reddy?” questioned Dr Sravan.
“Does the leadership of the 125-yr-old grand old party which vouches for Gandhian principles of ‘non-violence’ and ‘satyagraha’ believe that it can overthrow a hugely popular and people friendly leader KCR through violent means? This proves how far are Congress leaders from Telangana people,” Dasoju Sravan remarked, stressing that Revanth Reddy’s rowdy tactics could not stop KCR’s hat-trick victory.
He observed:”If Rahul Gandhi truly believes in his statement of “Nafrat ka bazar me Mohabbat ka Dukaankholoonga”, he must take action against Revanth Reddy who has been promoting Nafrat or hatred with his ugly and filthy language against each and everybody.”
