Revanth sanctions Rs 2,200 cr for SLBC works: Komatireddy

Minister for  Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that Chief Minister A Revanth sanctioned Rs 2,200 crore for the completion of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC). It has been remained incomplete for the last 16 years. The Chief Minister, he said, had given sanction for the funds to complete the SLBC project immediately when he asked for it.
Speaking at a meeting in Narketpally on Sunday, occasion, he said that the Brahmana Vellaimula project would be completed by next March. He said that after talking to the Chief Minister for the completion of the SLBC tunnel work. There were no hurdles for release of funds. He said that the work is progressing at a brisk pace.
He said that the government released Rs 6,000 for farm loan waiver scheme. The first phase of farm loan waiver scheme was completed in a single day, he said. The government has been waiving farm loan amounting to Rs 32,000 crore. He said the District Selection Committee (DSC) exams were in the process. The Minister said that he would soon talk to the Chief Minister to arrange all the necessary facilities for the devotees at the Varijala Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple by spending Rs 2 crore.
Nalgonda Municipal Chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy, Sri Varijala Venugopala Swamy Temple Chairman Komatireddy Mohan Reddy, Endowments Department Assistant Commissioner Mahendra Kumar, local Tahsildar Venkateswara Rao, DSP Shivaram Reddy and other officials attended the programme.
